that's what I usually have to do.
I've been trying to change my avatar for a couple of days now but no matter what I do it isn't showing up. The image is:
72 dpi
75 px x 75 px
RGB
Jpeg
I've also tried indexed color, gif.
When I DO get it to work it sometimes takes a few days for it to appear. And sometimes other boardmembers can see it but I can't. WTF? I never have these problems on other boards.
Can you guys tell me what I might be doing wrong? And if you see an avatar next to my name, what does it look like? Thanks. [img]confused.gif[/img]

When I decide to change mine - it is pretty instantaneous.
If you want - send it to me nd I'll look at it this weekend. Guitardeth had a funky one as well in the past.

Does it show on your profile page?
I sometimes have a problem loading a new one; i find that if i set it to "none" then upload the new one and set it to custom - it works.

I think I kind of had that problem once, I think it was osmethign like you have to uncheck the "custom" avatar" part or whatever, add it, then click it again, or click it again after you delete the old avatar
Sorry I cant help much, but I cant remember shit [img]tongue.gif[/img] Just try playing around with add/deleting avatars and custom avatar option, it might be it
